Sometimes I get to thinking about politics and public policy in our country, and I think "I should write that down somewhere, I'll want to remember it later." That's what I'm doing here. I'm not writing to change the world, I just want a place to jot down ideas and facilitate discussion among friends old and new. Oh, and I pledge to follow a modified version of Einstein's law and keep the posts as short as possible - but no shorter. If anything seems familiar here, I had a blog by the same name about 5 years ago, but I guess the good folks at Blogger deemed it necessary to remove it after 5 years of inactivity.
My politics don't fit neatly into any particular mold, and I'm probably a little too proud of that. That's not to say I don't take a stand on issues, and I'll choose a side. I'll always try to keep myself from being married to an opinion, but I'll need your help to actually succeed. I don't know how many people will actually read this, but thanks to those who do.
